MINDTREK ANIMAL OF THE YEAR 2009 IS THE ANT

You have voted the ANT as MindTrek Animal of the Year 2009. So this means that Annika Wiklund-Engblom is the lucky one that will get a free two-day ticket to the MindTrek Conference on Oct 1-2.

The arguments that won you over are the following: "The ant is a great representative of social media; the prosumers and participatory designers of the anthill. Each ant is important and contributes with its own part in the social system. Together they build infrastructures in endless patterns. The ant queen symbolizes the theme, which pulls the ants together much like any open source structure."

The ant will appear as a visual mascot of MindTrek 2009.
